The Prodigy unveil new wired earphones as part of BLK.ANT creative project
The new earphones are the first release from BLK.ANT, a new creative platform announced by the British group earlier this month
The Prodigy have unveiled a new pair of wired earphones under their BLK.ANT banner.
The launch marks the first release under the cryptic BLK.ANT project, which was announced earlier this month in a brief social media post describing it as “non-music projects curated by The Prodigy”.
Created in collaboration with British audio brand Flare, the studio-quality earphones feature an industrial matte-black finish, complete with a gold Ant logo.
The Prodigy's Liam Howlett worked with the brand for over two years to refine the earphones, which feature custom-manufactured internal chambers with high-spec beryllium drivers that can handle a broad range of frequencies at high volume without distortion.
“There were no earphones out there that I could trust the sound of,” Howlett said, “so Maxim and I decided to build our own from scratch.”
The BLK.ANT wired earphones are available to order now from BLK-ANT.com, with deliveries expected to begin in December.
The launch comes amid renewed interest in wired audio, with Bose announcing plans last month to introduce wired earbuds with noise cancellation for the first time in 11 years.
This year marks 30 years of The Prodigy’s ‘Breathe’, which was recently reissued on vinyl by XL Recordings.
2026 also marked 30 years of ‘Firestarter’, which the group celebrated with a special edition football shirt in collaboration with Hummel.
