Light Wash Denim [A history and collection of images]

In 1853, Mr Levi Strauss was a German immigrant heading towards San Francisco with a small supply of small goods. He arrived with rough canvas for tent and wagon covers. Miners complained they couldn't find a pair of pants that were strong enough to last. The "first draft" was the canvas made into "waist overalls". They were almost perfect, but they chafed the poor miners. Levi substituted for a twill cotton cloth called "serge de nimes" More than 50 years later, the jeans originally designed for cowboys and miners, became popular for teenagers. These lighter wash jeans are associated with a lot of aspects of American Culture. Summer wear, Mom and Dad jeans, and Cowboys.

The Album.

Light blue jeans are relatively easy to wear, yet easy to do wrong. Avoid cuts like this. Although the color could look great, the relaxed, loose fit draw attention to the legs in an unflattering way. Your jeans like always, should fit. Light jeans and light denim altogether is great for spring and summer. (I understand not all places can handle a Summer where one can wear a denim jacket. Different Ideas for different climates.) Throw on a white tee and some plimsolls and you've got a basic summer look!
