1. Scope

These Terms of Service govern the use of serverlist.dev, including the website, APIs, Discord bots, slash commands, notifications, integrations, and all related services.

By accessing or using the service, you agree to these Terms of Service and the Privacy Policy.

If you do not agree, you must not use the service.

2. Eligibility

You may only use the service if:

  • You are legally permitted to use the service under applicable law.
  • Any third-party account you use to access the service, such as Discord, GitHub, Google or Telegram, complies with that provider's Terms of Service.
  • You are at least the minimum age required in your jurisdiction.

3. User Accounts

Accounts may be created automatically when:

  • Logging in via Discord OAuth
  • Logging in via GitHub OAuth
  • Logging in via Google OAuth
  • Logging in via Telegram OAuth
  • Using Discord slash commands
  • Interacting with authenticated Discord features

You are responsible for activities associated with your account.

You must not:

  • Share access unlawfully
  • Impersonate others
  • Provide misleading identity information
  • Circumvent bans or restrictions

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts at our discretion where necessary for security, abuse prevention, legal compliance, or operational reasons.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Abuse, exploit, or disrupt the service
  • Attempt unauthorized access to systems or accounts
  • Use automated systems to overload or interfere with the service
  • Conduct denial-of-service (DoS) or distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attacks
  • Reverse engineer protected parts of the service where prohibited by law
  • Circumvent technical limitations or security mechanisms
  • Use the service for unlawful purposes
  • Upload malicious code, malware, or harmful content
  • Use the service to harass, spam, or abuse other users
  • Abuse Discord integrations, bots, APIs, or notification systems
  • Attempt to scrape restricted data or bypass rate limits

Any abusive or suspicious activity may result in:

  • Temporary restrictions
  • Permanent bans
  • Removal of content
  • Reporting to relevant authorities
  • Civil or criminal legal action where applicable

5. Availability of Service

The service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.

We do not guarantee:

  • Continuous availability
  • Error-free operation
  • Permanent storage of data
  • Compatibility with all systems or platforms

Features may change, be removed, or become unavailable at any time without prior notice.

6. Notifications and Messaging

By using notification features, you agree that we may send:

  • Discord direct messages
  • Telegram direct messages
  • Service notifications
  • Operational alerts
  • Security-related communications

You may manage notification preferences through available settings where applicable. We are not responsible for delayed, failed, filtered, or blocked message delivery caused by Discord, Telegram, infrastructure providers, or third parties.

7. User Content

You retain ownership of content you submit.

By submitting feedback, suggestions, bug reports, or other content, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, modify, and display such content for operating and improving the service.

You must not submit unlawful, infringing, abusive, or malicious content.

8. Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise stated, all service content, branding, software, and related materials are owned by serverlist.dev or its licensors.

No rights are granted except as explicitly stated in these Terms.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
  • We are not liable for data loss, service interruptions, or third-party actions.
  • Use of the service is at your own risk.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability where exclusion is prohibited by applicable law.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access immediately if:

  • These Terms are violated
  • Abuse or security risks are detected
  • Required for legal compliance
  • Necessary to protect the service or users

Users may stop using the service at any time and may request account deletion through available account settings.

11. Changes to the Service or Terms

Updated Terms become effective upon publication unless otherwise stated. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by the laws applicable at the operator's place of business unless mandatory consumer protection laws provide otherwise.
