Vulkan mesh shading is finally available: khronos.org/blog/mesh-shad… thanks to the efforts of @pixeljetstream and a lot of contributors. The open source RADV and ANV drivers have zero-day experimental support for this EXT, pending a few merge requests in Mesa.
