Don't be a jerk and keep it safe for work

Be kind and respectful towards all users. Personal attacks, hate speech or derogatory terms will not be tolerated, even as jokes. Comments posted for the sake of being negative and unconstructive may also be removed.
NSFW content is not allowed. Some topics may be NSFW tagged at moderator discretion.
“Epstein Island” posts/jokes are prohibited.

No commonly asked questions - check the FAQ before posting

Questions answered in the FAQ will be removed as posts.

Removed Topics

Removed Topics are various in-game occurrences that are frequently posted, which makes it repetitive for users to see on the feed everyday. Therefore, we no longer allow them as posts here.

It also includes discussion about piracy, modding, emulators, etc. as these violate Reddit’s ToS.

Removed Topics:

Villager moving in/out
Villager at camp site/mystery island
Critter catches
Pigeon Milk related content
Turnip prices
Anything related to “6-7”
Emulators/Modding/Piracy/etc.

Keep things directly Animal Crossing related.

All posts must be clearly related to Animal Crossing, if a post requires a special title to be related then it is not allowed.
This includes objects or images that resemble in-game items, characters, plants, etc. (excluding arts/crafts)

No trading, buying, selling, or giveaway posts.

As this subreddit isn't focused on trading, we are unable to protect the community from scammers so we do not want to faciliate any potentially unsafe trades.

This rule includes trading, buying, selling, giveaways, giving away/selling/asking for villagers, items, NMTs, bells, etc.

We kindly ask you use trading subreddits.

You may also post any giveaway offers on our code sharing thread.

We do not allow IRL trading or sales of any kind (i.e. amiibo, merch, etc)

Keep Friend/Dodo Codes in the code sharing thread.

This subreddit is primarily for discussion, for that reason we require you to place your friend codes/dodo codes or any "looking to play" posts in the stickied code sharing thread.

No store links

We know you want to share cool merch you find. Unfortunately we cannot allow store links due to self-promotional spam, frequent art stealing, and scam sites.

You may not advertise to others that you have a shop, such things include:

"Check my profile/bio!"
"DM me for a link!"
Replying "PMed" to people who ask for a shop

In short, we simply do not allow any store/selling related links or advertisements.

Your post may be removed at moderator discretion for advertising your store.

All artwork must credit the original artist

You must indicate if you created or the person who created the art either in the title of the post or a comment. Unclear art sources may result in your post being removed.

Any content that has been created with AI, either entirely or partially, is not allowed to be posted here. This includes “silly” search results when using Google.

People work hard on their art, and should always be credited. "I don't know" is not acceptable. It is highly preferred you link to the original source.

Low Quality Content

Low quality content, such as extremely blurry, sideways/tilted, shaky videos/screenshots may be removed at moderator discretion.

Please use the built-in screenshot/screen recording on the Switch. There are tutorials available on Google if you’re unsure how.

Low-effort meme posts (like generic, subreddit-crossover memes) are not allowed.
