This results in the processor having to rely on the
microcode to decipher this zombie load and in doing so, applications that are currently residing on the CPU cache can access another application's data.
We've already delivered the
microcode update for Variant 4 in beta form to OEM system manufacturers and system software vendors, and we expect it will be released into production BIOS and software updates over the coming weeks.
"As I shared January 22, we identified the root cause of the reboot issue affecting the initial Broadwell and Haswell
microcode updates," said Intel's Navin Shenoy.
"While Intel tests, updates and deploys new
microcode, we are making available an out-of-band update today, KB4078130, that specifically disables only the mitigation against CVE-2017-5715 -- 'Branch target injection vulnerability.' In our testing this update has been found to prevent the behavior described."

The modern computers contain a
microcode which is remotely updated by the security updates.
The 7-digit
microcode obtained from the scoring of positive tests before and after the addition of kit reagents was checked in the electronic RapID compendium ERIC(R) (http://www.remel.com/ERIC/IdentificationSingle.aspx) for the identification of the test organisms.
