I saw a post a while ago saying a veterinarian. Know how to handle many kinds of animals, know enough anatomy to be able to butcher them if needed, know about diseases & parasites they can carry & give to humans, probably vaccinated for rabies, and probably know about some poisonous plants & fungi to advise farmers on what to pull up from the paddocks.

We had 16 pet rats over about as many years, a 2-3 year lifespan is nowhere near enough. Rat dudes would need a wheelbarrow.
