Why tf do my arms look like the size of a middle school girl[deleted]AllAboutBodybuilding 發佈

I feel like the second picture is just a bad angle. It looks fine in the first - granted it is a flexed pic. But we can’t be blessed everywhere - somewhere will lag behind the others. If it’s important to you, add more accessories for arms.

I swear I’ve already lost some muscle but maybe im just imagining it from the overall size change.

Yeahh I’m so close now that I think that’s a good idea. I’m just so sick of this calorie deficit 😭

So I mostly get my core work outs at Muay Thai doing bodyweight stuff. Are you suggesting like weighted core exercises? .

I’m lifting 3x a week - also do Muay Thai 2x a week, peloton 4x, and sometimes swimming or shuffling.

I lucked out because I was in the inaugural year of the one I joined so they missed out on the regular cycle.

It’s called the “Graduate Rotational Program”.

I don’t have CFA or CPA. During my last job, I started CFA and managed to wing level 1, but I couldn’t continue any further because my ADHD really makes me struggle with studying. It doesn’t get in the way of work though.

Every job I got was just from applying online except for my current job - a recruiter contacted me on LinkedIn. I am terrible at networking / keeping in touch with people. If you ever see me at a networking event, I’m the one beside the food stuffing my face and not really talking to anyone.

I work in finance as well and also had good co-op placements.

I was unemployed for 5 months after graduation… that really sucked. I thought I’d find something decent right away.

Finally, I managed to land a rotational program at RBC - which only paid $50k. After two years, they offered me 54K for full time… I ended up leaving for another job at 75K. Less than two years later, I left that job for 125K. So it ended up taking less than 4 years for me to jump from 50K to 125K. I’ve had other friends also see good salary jumps from switching jobs.

This is just the start of your career - you will achieve so much more in time.

Laurier BBA - if you have the option of co-op, do it.

The Arts & Business degree in Waterloo is not great since there’s not much technical accounting and finance in there - it’s too generalized to work in business. I had a friend who dropped out after realizing it wasn’t very useful.

Does anyone experience extremely frequent awakenings?awakeintimeinsomnia 發佈

Yes - my CPAP has treated my sleep apnea and that’s under control now. I have no issues with it - I’ve adjusted well and it doesn’t even feel like it’s on for me. So I have something else that’s waking me up that I don’t know.

Did you try different mask types?

Amitriptyline is helping, but constipation + weight gain — how do you cope?BlackLanternBlondieinsomnia 發佈

Same! Trazadone and Quviviq both gave me headaches on onset.

My favourite is Lunesta and Dayvigo (I took this for too long and built up a tolerance though).

Mirtazapine or Lunesta for sleep maintenanceOk_Ninja_7360insomnia 發佈

I am currently taking 1.5mg daily on Lunesta and Iike it. My main issue is also sleep maintenance and I’ve found the class Z drugs work best for me.

I also will never take anything that causes weight gain after my experience with Amitriptyline.

Has there been emotional side effects from you moving to this new country? Change is always stressful and can lead to anxiety which may explain the hyper arousal of your brain.

What should i do with nights like this?[deleted]insomnia 發佈

From 17-23, I used to not be able to fall asleep for hours at a time and it would drive me insane all while being completely alone with my thoughts. When I was in a dorm, I could always find other people up at the time and hang out with them, but once that changed, it became a lot harder.

I used to try to journal or I’d go do some exercise to try to tire myself out. It was funny for people to go like “wow you’re up early!” to me jogging at 8am and I’m like “nope haven’t slept yet!”

If I had known about it at the time, I definitely would’ve tried to meditate. I think that would’ve been really helpful.

Using a combination of meds (Melatonin + Mirtazapine) I'm able to fall asleep most every night, the problem is if I wake up in the middle of the night I can't get back to sleep.mapleCrepinsomnia 發佈

I would consider trying a different medication which helps for falling asleep AND staying asleep. You ideally don’t want to mix as it does become too sedating. My suggestion would be exploring dayvigo.

I wouldn’t do either. From the sounds of it, I am guessing you have a very active mind that prevents you from falling asleep as that was the case for me when I used to take hours to fall asleep. Neither of those are strong enough to counteract that. I would try breathing exercises or meditation instead if you’re trying not to do prescription sleep medication.
