Marvel vs. Capcom Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics is a singleplayer and multiplayer scrolling and side view arcade, brawler and fighting game in the Marvel vs. Capcom and Capcom Fighting Collection series.

The game consists of six fighting games and one beat 'em up released by Capcom for arcades, namely X-Men: Children of the Atom, Marvel Super Heroes, X-Men vs. Street Fighter, Marvel Super Heroes vs. Street Fighter, Marvel vs. Capcom: Clash of Super Heroes, Marvel vs. Capcom 2: New Age of Heroes and The Punisher.

A patch was released on October 1, 2024 that fixed numerous bugs and glitches within Marvel vs. Capcom 2, as well as added an setting to toggle Juggernaut's Cyttorak Power-Up ability on or off upon tagging out.

On April 16, 2025, another patch was released that fixed further bugs for Marvel vs. Capcom 2 and the collection as a whole, and added a Versus Mode for every fighting game, the ability to switch between the three major arcade revisions of X-Men vs. Street Fighter, the addition of an internal resolution setting and a random character option in Marvel vs. Capcom 2, as well as four new songs and a new piece of artwork that can be viewed from the game's Museum.[1]

Tested by playing the game with a 2560x1080 resolution. In all instances, the game was pillarboxed to a 16:9 aspect ratio.
  4. ↑ Verified by User:MasterBlaster on 2025-04-18
Tested by playing the game with plethora of resolution settings. Playing at 1920x1080 allowed the Internal Resolution setting in MVC2 to be set as high as x2, while setting it to 2560x1440 and 3840x2160 allowed the setting to be set to x3 and x4, respectively. Setting a resolution lower than, but in-between those would cause the highest Internal Resolution setting to remain the same. (i.e. if the monitor's resolution is set at 2560x1080, the x2 option would be the highest the player can choose from.)
