Had this tv for maybe two years. Never have had an issue streaming from our phones to the chrome cast until the last couple months. We will stream live TV (mainly sports) and the video will just stop even though the sound continues. We’ve tried the power cycle on the TV a few times, we have reset our WiFi router, neither have worked. Our TV is connected via Ethernet to our router. Is this an update bug or what can we do to fix this. Doesn’t matter which phone we try to stream from so it’s definitely a TV problem.
Chromecast (3rd Gen)
Since the new update dropped, the Youtube App on Android has become increasingly unusable with Chromecast. WTF???
As of today, I can't cast to my Chromecast from the app at all. No amount of restarts, reconnection attempts, or opening and closing the app again help any more. It says it's connecting, but it never does.
It just so happens I have an old tablet with a slightly older version of the app. Other than the fact that the tablet takes two business days to do anything, casting works just fine.
Has anyone found a fix or has Youtube at least gotten off their backsides and started working on a fix?
Why does my Chromecast app keep opening on my home screen on my Galaxy S25 Edge phone without me prompting it?
