Game reactions and other short, non-news, non-discussion self-posts and memes should be comments in the GDT, Game Chat, or PGT.

Keep It Civil

Please keep arguments in the comments civil. Remember, it's a game, and most of us are on the same side here. We have zero tolerance for hateful language including but not limited to sexist, homophobic, racial, and religious slurs.

Trolls & Opposing Team Fans

r/Dodgers is a place for Dodger fans to discuss Dodger baseball. We do not forbid fans of other teams, but we also do not tolerate trolling or other bad-faith participation -- a determination we make in our sole discretion.

Any such behavior by anyone will result in an immediate ban. If it is done by a fan of another team, they may be reported to the mods of that subreddit as well.

Similarly, trolling other teams' subs breaks this rule and will result in punishment on THIS sub.

Low Quality Posting

While we don't explicitly disallow memes and other non-discussion posts, we do require that the post has some decent level of effort outside of copy/pasting a common image or video.

Additionally, a screenshot or photo/video of a website, monitor, or television is considered low-quality content. Please link to the actual source instead.

Ticket/Promo Related Posts

Posts and comments seeking or selling tickets or promos (bobbleheads, etc.) are not allowed. Users are encouraged to visit reputable resellers or r/DodgersTicketSwap if they wish to buy or sell tickets. Always use caution with any internet transaction, particularly with anonymous parties.

Posts for giving away free tickets and promos are still allowed for now.

Baseball Team Subreddit Interaction

We have zero tolerance for downvote brigading another team's subreddit and game chat. Do not link to comments on another team's sub, do not post screenshots of posts/comments on another team's sub, and do not encourage people to downvote another team's sub.

Duplicate Posts

Please check the current new/hot threads before posting to avoid duplicates. Duplicates of recent posts will be removed.

Flaming

Comments and posts flaming, insulting, inciting, making unsubstantiated accusations, and other forms of belittling fellow users for their opinions will be removed and may lead to a ban. These sorts of posts are extremely toxic and discourage discussion.

Self Promotion

Self promotion, including blogs, articles, and fan-made merchandise, is only allowed from users who participate in the community otherwise. Self promotion should not be the majority of your participation in the community.

Posts linking to user-owned shops may be removed if your store's website is suspect in any way. We cannot vet every user owned shop and will err on the side of removal in most cases. Due to this, well-reputed platforms like Etsy are more likely to be allowed.

Twitter/X Links Prohibited

Links from Twitter/X are not allowed on r/dodgers as posts or in comments. Links to direct articles, sources such as MLB Trade Rumors, or alternative platforms such as the ESPN app or BlueSky are still permitted.

No Gambling Posts

Posts related to gambling are not allowed in this subreddit. Please use r/SportsBetting instead.
