The main goal of r/IndiaTech is discussion related to technology.

Don't discourage anyone from expressing themselves. Please don't flood the community, nor troll anyone or brigade.

3.1: Submissions should be relevant to technology and India.
3.2: Make submissions of acceptable quality, and don't shitpost.

This is r/IndiaTech, so naturally, all discussion should be relevant to technology. Please avoid posting any form of political/communal content. We allow talking about your general life, but please ensure the quality of content.

Keep the prohibited content in mind and do not post/comment it. [Porn, Gore, PIL, Intimate Media]

4.1: PII, intimate & illegal media is strictly prohibited.
4.2: Do not post, or mark explicit or discomfiting media as appropriate.
Technically, pornographic websites are also relevant to technology but this is a safe space for everyone, so NSFW/NSFL should be avoided.
4.3: Do not self-promote without prior permission.
4.4: Take prior permission before posting fundraisers or surveys. [Will mostly not be granted for paid promotions]

Language Policy

5.1: All languages spoken in India are allowed in r/IndiaTech. Users are requested to cooperate with users who do not understand their language and make attempts to provide translations. Providing translations is a must in case moderators ask.

Please use good titles and an appropriate flair.

6.1: Please use good titles. Follow proper titling rules - the title should be relevant to your post and offer insight.
6.2: Use the correct flair for your post.

Gender, Sexuality, Religion, Caste Discussion

7.1: Inflammatory discussion on any communal divisions (Gender, Sexuality, Religion, Caste, Race, etc.) is strictly not allowed.

Do not spread misinformation, and accompany your claims with sources.

8.1: Fact-check all claims before submitting.
8.2: Back up all claims with valid data, and add a source for all media.

Social Media Content | YouTube content

9.1: Meta is allowed, but meta drama is not allowed.
9.2: Do not post misleading claims from social media. Label rumours as rumours. Do not post Twitter content unless absolutely necessary.
9.3: YouTube: Many of the so-called 'Tech YouTubers' are just influencers who read scripts while reviewing phones. This is a serious sub for discussion about technology. Please do not post low quality content posted by them.

No Buying or selling posts.

10.1: Buying, selling, trading, or soliciting transactions is strictly prohibited. Posts or comments related to buying or selling will be removed, and repeat offenders may face bans.

No Doxing

11.1: We have a zero-tolerance policy for doxing here. Any attempt to share private personal information will result in immediate consequences, including a permanent Ban.

No Meta Discussion

12.1: Submissions should not include meta-discussions or commentary about the subreddit or other subreddits. Posts or comments that address this subreddit's rules, policies, or moderation decisions, or that attempt to rally support for/against specific users/posts will be removed.
