Rude behavior

LARP is for everyone, so be civil. That means don't post rude or prejudiced comments here about any larper or LARP.

Tag game location in title

Posts advertising a specific game should specify the location in the title. Ideally using brackets.

Example: [LOCATION] Name of LARP

Low-effort LFG posts

"Looking for game" posts are welcome, but make the effort to help us help you. Describe what you're looking for, and search the web and the subreddit before posting. Even if you don't find what you're looking for, telling us what you found that didn't meet your needs will help.

Content quality and relevance to LARP

Posts must be quality discussion about live action roleplaying games.

Roleplaying, costuming, and reenactment topics without a specific connection to LARP are not allowed. Similarly "LARP" in the sense of "pretense on the internet" is not on topic for this subreddit.

As described here, we apply special scrutiny to posts that are widely cross-posted to other subs.

Links to twitter/x are not allowed.

Self Serving Content

Personal blog posts and creations are fine as long as they follow some rules:

Don't spam your stuff. Every so often is fine, but if you just keep posting them they are going to get marked as spam.
Take part in the community! Posts of your own content should be no more than half of your total engagement with this subreddit.
Make sure the content is relevant. This subreddit is for LARP, not general roleplaying.

Welcoming costuming and portrayals

We have some specific restrictions on costumes and portrayals to ensure that larpers of all cultures and races feel welcome in this subreddit. This restrictions are explained in detail here.

In short:

No full-face all-black face paint
Don't use a slur for the Romani people
Portraying a real-life culture is great, but don't use insulting stereotypes

Call-out posts are allowed, with some restrictions

In general, we allow call-out posts that seek to warn others about bad behavior at a LARP. We will generally not review the veracity of these call-outs, but do allow rebuttals. Any use of real names is subject to the Reddit site-wide rules. For more details, see here
