Bartending tonight and say to my customer - anyone ever tell you ya look like the dad from The Wonder Years? My jaw hit the floor when he said “I am the dad from The Wonder Years”

Back me up, Michael Jackson was considered lame by about 1993

I got lambasted on another sub for saying that Michael Jackson was considered lame by kids by the early 90s. The way I remember it though was that by my 6th grade year in 92-93, Michael Jackson was considered the kind of music your parents would listen to.

By that point, Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Snoop Dogg, Dr Dre...were cool, but MJ was out, even if he was still selling massive amounts of albums.

This was even before the abuse allegations.

Is this how you guys remember it?

My kids' friends are all into MJ now but generally don't know the bands I listed above and it's just odd to me.
