Be Civil

Be civil or, better yet, be kind. Remember the human being on the other side of the username you're interacting with.

None of the following is allowed in this subreddit:

Personal attacks, harassment, threats, or encouraging violence.
Racism, sexism, homophobia, or otherwise bigoted language.

Any violation of the above may result in permanent ban without warning.

No Trolling

While we appreciate participation and comments from all baseball fans, this is primarily a subreddit for Diamondbacks fans. Trolling or comments that are not in good faith may result in a permanent ban. Users may be reported to their team subreddit's mods, as well.

Additionally, any Diamondbacks fans found to be trolling in other team subs may receive a permanent ban in r/azdiamondbacks.

Post High-Quality Content

While we appreciate most Diamondbacks-related discussion, please don't post low-quality or low-effort content.

If you're going to make a separate topic for discussion, please put forth a reasonable amount of effort to increase the quality of the subreddit.

Examples of low-quality content include:

"This player sucks!" or "The manager is an idiot."
One-sentence opinions
Low-effort memes
AI slop
Tired topics

Use Game Threads and Postgame Threads

Please use Game Threads and Postgame Threads to centralize discussion and reactions surrounding individual games. Examples include:

Umpire complaints
Managerial decisions
Low-quality celebrations/venting
Individual plays that don't warrant their own post

Please use your best judgement to keep the post quality high in r/azdiamondbacks.

Post with Clear, Accurate Titles

Please try to use the title of the article or video you're posting, or otherwise try to make the title more clear and accurate. Titles should not be editorialized, misleading, or vague. Users should generally be able to tell what the post is about based on the title alone.

Post High-Quality Breaking News

Posts about trades, signings, rumors, etc. should come from high-quality sources, and post titles should include information of all relevant teams, significant players, years, dollar figures, etc.

No Duplicate Posts

Before posting, check the subreddit to see whether the topic has already been submitted. Duplicate posts may be removed at moderator discretion, particularly for breaking news, highlights, and announcements.

Minimize Political & Religious Discussion

This is a subreddit for discussing the Diamondbacks. While certain Diamondback-related topics may occasionally overlap with politics or religion, discussion should first and foremost be Diamondbacks-related.

Minimize Gambling Discussion

While many Diamondbacks fans enjoy sports gambling, this is not a subreddit for gambling discussion. Posts and comments relating to gambling may be removed without warning.

No Piracy or Circumvention of Paywalls

This subreddit is not the place for users to pirate or post paywalled content.
