Helpful critiques are perfectly fine, if not expected. But by no means should you be rude, vulgar, or disrespectful to posters or commenters. Follow reddiquette.

Stay on topic.

This subreddit is for the posting and discussion of tabletop Battlemaps. Original maps should ideally be posted by their creator(s). Posting a map without crediting the original creator is not allowed. Discussion, help, resource, and meta posts are also fine, so long as they are flaired appropriately. Things such as region or world maps are better fitted in subs such as r/dndmaps, r/worldbuilding, or even r/cartographersguild.

Maps should be shared in a usable and accessible way.

Allowed without approval: Shoutouts to patreon, or shops ONLY if the post includes at least ONE or more useable maps.
Mod Approval Required: Posts without any usable maps, such as partial images, pre-placed tokens, large watermarks, or modifications that render the map unusable, etc.
Requests, commission, and promotions are restricted to the monthly megathread.

AI - Generated images are not allowed.

If your map is made with AI image generators such as Midjourney, Stable Diffusion, DALL-E, Crayon, ChatGPT, etc., it will be removed.

Limit of one post per day per creator.

Repeat posts will be removed and a timer set by the automod.

Fiverr, Linktree, and Etsy are banned site-wide by Reddit.

Links from Fiverr, Linktree, and Etsy will be removed by the reddit automod. This isn't something we can change, it's an admin decision. You will not receive a removal notice if your post is removed.
