Follow posting & comment guidelines

No profanity in titles
No nudity/porn
No flooding of comments in the same post or spamming across multiple posts
No key trading/giveaways
Do not beg/ask/buy/sell/trade game keys of any kind. This includes codes for Heroes. r/blizzardcodes is the place for that.
No LFG Posts except in the weekly LFG thread.
No surveys unless they relate specifically to Heroes of the Storm.
A survey that is about gaming in general is not permitted.
No posts about breaking Blizzard's ToS

Be Civil

Do not insult other Redditors, or post racist, sexist, homophobic, transphobic, xenophobic, or otherwise discriminatory content.
Constructive debate is greatly encouraged. Mockery, taunting, and name calling are not.
Racial slurs, slurs in general, and other discriminatory remarks are not acceptable in this sub, period. Using a racial slur (or other slur) is a good way to get banned.
Familiarize yourself with Reddiquette.

Follow self-promotion guidelines

Read the rules on self promotion
Don't post your content more than once a week
Be up front with your affiliations
Participate in the community. At an absolute minimum, you should be replying to comments on your own post.
Only post gameplay streams in the weekly streams thread
On-going pro tournaments and live discussion shows are exceptions
Charity streams require mod permission by messaging modmail

No duplicate posts or flooding

Posts that are duplicates of topics that are already on the front page or were just submitted will be removed. If there is a thread on the front page already about your topic, you should submit your thoughts as a comment to that thread, instead of a separate thread.
Do not post Creative/Fluff content more often than every 3 days. If you regularly post this type of content, please keep a reasonable participation on the subreddit in the comments on your own posts or outside of them.

Avoid low quality content

No non-constructive rants
No image or screenshots without additional context
No clickbait-style titles
No ALL CAPS titles
No low-effort/image macro MEMEs and MEMEs must have Heroes content
No questions that are answered in the FAQ
No posts about your specific silence/suspension.
"SUMMON [ITEM]" memes are only on days when Blizzard is expected to release something, starting at 8AM Pacific time.

Do not Name Shame or start Witch Hunts

Do not name shame or start witch hunts including naming those who leave games, flame, or play poorly. Usernames MUST be redacted on negative in-game user-focused posts.
HotS Public figure or organization controversies related specifically to HotS or Blizzard properties are legitimate to discuss with references, but not their personal lives, sexual preference, or gender identity.
No asking the community to participate in vigilante justice or contact sponsors with negative feedback

Follow spoiler guidelines

For 24 hours after a match ends, no spoilers are permitted in titles and all posts containing spoilers must be marked as a spoiler.

Examples of titles that will get your post removed if posted less than 24 hours after the end of the match:

Team A broke Team B's 40-match winning streak
Team X wins 3-0 to Team Y
Team Y just won Blizzcon!

Leaked Heroes are not allowed in titles until the official announcement.

Post about subreddit only in /r/HeroesMeta

Help declutter the main sub by keeping meta posts in the meta sub. The meta sub is focused in scope, allowing mods to more easily respond to meta requests.

Content must be related to Heroes of the Storm

Disallowed topics include, but are not limited to:

Politics
Posts on other games with no tie in on how it relates to Heroes of the Storm or Blizzard
The personal life events of esports players that have nothing to do with the game in the slightest. X player breaking up with their girlfriend in private is not an appropriate topic.
Posting about other video game companies unless there is a clear, strong tie in on how that news relates to Heroes of the Storm.
