Could football be dropped from the Olympic program?
Could football be dropped from the Olympic program?
Football

FIFA is already talking about expanding the FIFA World Cup to 64 teams while the Women's World Cup will expand to 48 by 2031. Given the size of these tournaments, could the IOC say, or should the IOC say "Hey you guys don't need your sport to be in the Olympics at this point"

Think about it, if football were to be dropped, you would have less athletes and maybe room for more athletes in individual sports and disciplines.

Do you see the IOC ever dropping football? Do you think they should?
