Keep it fun. Trolling, being intentionally insulting, demeaning, or incendiary may get you banned.

Trolling, being intentionally insulting, demeaning, or incendiary (including politically) may get you banned. This is a place for fun, and should be considered a "safe space" for all. No bigotry, no racism, ableism, etc. Overt offensiveness will likely get you banned.

Single panels preferred, generally no more than two, Rarely three allowed.

One full panel is ideal, two is “pushing it” in that it may be creating context. Three is the max allowed and if there are expendable panels, it may be removed. More than 3 will be removed. Repeat violations may result in temporary or permanent banning.

Quality matters.

Posts must be of a comic panel - strange or funny and relevant to the sub. Being context-free matters! Panels should be a reasonable resolution and readable. Posts should be panels from comic books/strips carefully cropped to remove context.

If you do not understand this, DON'T POST.

Posts that are likely to be removed: too much context, images of only text bubbles, images cropped too much, as well as posts that while funny - are intended to be single-panel or standalone comics.

Image quality also matters.

Your original, high resolution cropped & restored scans and screenshots are preferred. Other people's high quality scans are acceptable, if they do not break other rules. Low quality images will be removed if they are cropped poorly and if the text is difficult to read.

No Fakes. No edits, no AI.

This is the place for authentic comic book panels that are funny or strange when taken out of context. AI content or panels which have been digitally altered (aside from cropping or color enhancement) for any reason (including blacking out text or added text or commentary outside the panel) will be removed and posters could be banned.

Reposting is lame.

Original Content found and cut from context is the best content. No reposts of Top 50 of all time posts, as well as no reposts of the past several months. If your content was found on Facebook (not specialty groups with plenty of OC) , your discord #memes channel, or seen in a meme, more likely than not someone has already posted it here before.

No full covers or Title Pages

Cropped covers are fine to remove context, but no full comic book covers or title pages please. These are usually exposition (establishing context) or intended to be standalone images

Flair

If your post is an original scan from your collection, you may use the "ORIGINAL SCAN" flair. Abuse will result in bans. You may message the mods with proof you are a scanner to receive your customizable "SCANNER" flair.

Tags (NSFW Rule)

Please tag posts and comments with nudity or gore as NSFW. You must use the appropriate flair on all NSFW posts.

NO PORN (innuendo is ok, but actual porn is not)

Posting pornography pictures, videos, or links will get you permanently banned. Don’t be an asshat. This is a comic panel appreciation sub. If you aren’t smart enough to figure that out, you are not wanted here. Some comic/drawn nudity is ok, just mark it NSFW.

No "Fan art"

If you made it (drew it/digitally, etc.) yourself, this really isn't the place for that. Similarly, if you found fanart online and post it here, also not the place.

No Standalone Comics

Panels must be from a larger source, taken out of context. Single, double, or other sequences of panels that were intended to be complete jokes, etc. are not allowed. Cropped single panels from sequential animation are allowed.
