All submissions must be related to Pokémon GO. This subreddit is specifically for Team Yellow, and while general discussion about the game is allowed, users are highly encouraged to relate their submissions to Team Yellow in particular. See r/pokemongo for more generalized game discussion and see r/pokemon for general Pokemon discussion.

No Commercial Advertisement

Posts advertising paid products/services such as in-game assistance, premium website subscriptions, or items for sale (whether in-game items or merchandise) will be removed. This rule does not apply to free live streams, tutorials, or non-paid services such as guides and advice.

NSFW Content is Not Allowed

Any porn or "Rule 34” of any character is forbidden. NSFW is classified as:

Sexual behaviors
Suggestive clothing
Violence featuring more than incidental blood/gore
Hardcore drug use
Excessive profanity.

We Do Not Tolerate Hateful Language or Rudeness

Team Instinct is accepting of all members regardless of race, religion, gender, or sexual orientation. Everyone should feel welcome to come to this subreddit and discuss Pokémon GO and Team Instinct. Discussion about such issues is fine so long as they adhere to Rule #1 and remain respectful - insulting other users is not accepted on this subreddit.

Raids From/to Other Subreddits is Forbidden

Posting links to r/pokemongoyellow content in relevant places elsewhere on reddit is perfectly fine, but any attempts to provoke "raids" or harass r/pokemongoyellow subscribers from elsewhere is not allowed. Similarly. attempting to incite "raids" on other subreddits, including our rival teams will not be tolerated and may result in a ban.

No URL Shorteners

Using bit.ly or tinyurl.com will not be accepted. However, the following are:

Youtu.be for Youtube links
t.co for Twitter links
redd.it for reddit links

Piracy Will Not Be Tolerated

Discussion of piracy is fine; advocating piracy or providing information on how to pirate is not. Similarly: cheat clients, websites or programs intended to assist piracy or griefing are not permitted.

Furthermore, sharing of Pokémon GO’s .apk or .app files, or any files extracted therefrom, is not permitted.

No Low Effort Posts

When determining what constitutes a low-effort post, the mods reserve the right to make their own judgments. However, in general, we consider posts that:

Did not obviously require a good deal of time and effort to create
Were not especially original or unusual
Did not seek information which would be difficult to obtain via Google

to be low effort.

No Trade Requests or Friend Quests outside of Megathreads

Posts asking either for Pokemon that you are willing to trade or new friends will be removed. For Pokemon Trades, head to r/PokemonGoTrade - be aware r/PokemonGo will ban you for posting in this sub. Use a throwaway. To add a Friend, check the Stickied Friend Code Post on the front page of the subreddit.
