Don't be an arse.

This is our general catch-all rule. Don't post offensive content, don't be mean to other people. Keep this a fun and pleasant place to be!

Don't just describe an object or action.

Posts shouldn't just be a dictionary description of an object or action. That's not wildbeef.

Examples:

the thing that you do in a big pool of water (swimming)
when you copy someone else's work without their permission (plagiarism)

Wildbeef is for silly names for things!

Follow the post format - wildbeef as title, explanation in description.

Part of the fun of wildbeef is trying to guess what the speaker actually meant! Please put the mix-up in your post title, and nothing else.

If you want to explain your post, you can tell us the original word or phrase in the post body or in a comment underneath.

Please only post genuine wildbeefs!

A wildbeef is a spontaneous, natural thing. Please don't make up joke phrases to post here, or post obvious jokes that people around you have said.

We'll generally be lenient when applying this rule, but regularly posting fake wildbeefs will lead to the mods asking you to knock it off.
