Audiences were quieter in the past. People in general talked softer prior to motor vehicles. They were also more polite, so would listen to a speaker instead of murmuring to themselves. So it was easier for a speaker to project his voice and be heard.

The preview looks like actors in front of a green screen. Not interested.

MrBeast puts almost all of his money back into his upcoming projects. Constantly giving out $10K to multiple participants over and over adds up. He’s “cash poor”. If his popularity drops he might become a hobo walking along the highway with a stick and a red bag attached to it. But he’d probably try to mobilize that into another video.

It’s hard to stay angry at people if you go running.

During the pandemic, the Canadian federal government under Justin Trudeau launched the LMIA program (Labour Market Impact Assessment) in which businesses could file an application saying that they could not find enough labor, and needed immigrants. The government would accept the application, and allow the businesses to hire low-skilled immigrants from underdeveloped countries, and the government would pay 50% of their wages. The pandemic is over, but the program still exists. So all Tim Hortons employees are Indians making minimum wage, and the government (and taxpayers) pay half. It’s corporate welfare, and also part of the Liberals’ “Century Initiative” to aim for a Canadian population of 100 million by the year 2100.

It’s become a big problem. Cultural assimilation, stretched government resources including health care (hard to find a doctor), massive government debt leading to money printing and inflation, high demand for housing and low supply, lack of minimum wage jobs for low-skilled citizens and students. It’s a mess.

But Canadians continue to elect the current party, so it’s not going to change any time soon.
